ROAD2EU Session Advances Hybrid Learning Assessment and Quality

A ROAD2EU Winter School session translated current challenges in hybrid education into practical approaches to assessment, feedback and quality assurance.

The discussion took place within Yan Kapranov’s module, Digital Education, Innovation & Lifelong Learning in the EU.

Two participant projects structured the session: Alicja Kalata and Zuzanna Zielińska addressed authenticity and feedback in hybrid assessment, while Tetiana Lazaruk examined quality in e-learning and hybrid provision.

Tools for trustworthy hybrid education

• Authentic tasks supported by transparent rubrics and rapid feedback loops.
• Responsible and transparent use of AI in assessment.
• Quality indicators covering both learning processes and outcomes.
• Accessibility aligned with WCAG principles, alongside academic integrity and continuous improvement.
• Micro-impact measurement for evaluating changes in course design and delivery.

The session concluded with a plan to distil the discussion into concise policy briefs and course roadmaps. The source describes these as next steps, so they are not presented here as completed publications.
