- Digital Education, Innovation & Lifelong Learning in the EU
Yan Kapranov contributes expertise in Digital European Studies, corpus-informed pedagogy, AI-assisted academic workflows and interdisciplinary teaching. His ROAD2EU unit connects the European Education Area and Digital Education Action Plan with evidence-first teaching, academic integrity, microcredentials and quality assurance. His wider work includes European Studies, multilingualism, corpus linguistics and management of EU-funded academic projects.

Olena Pimenowa leads ROAD2EU’s Economic Track. Her units connect EU higher-education policy, cohesion policy and institutional alignment with KPI-based monitoring, staff digital competences, university–industry partnerships and green and digital skills. Her expertise in microeconomics, entrepreneurship, business informatics, ESG reporting and sustainable development supports the project’s economic and green-transition agenda.

Dr. Bożena Iwanowska
Thematic responsibilities

Bożena Iwanowska co-leads the Social Track. Her units address inclusive digital pedagogy, accessibility, EU citizenship, refugee and migrant integration, digital health literacy, privacy, ethics and well-being in hybrid learning environments. Her background in political science, law, academic writing, public communication and governance supports the project’s civic and inclusion-focused work.

Dawid Stadniczeńko leads the Territorial Track. His units cover regional development, cohesion policy, project logic models, indicators and evaluation, urban–rural linkages, digital divides and cross-border cooperation. His expertise in international law, migration and asylum law, public international law, diplomatic and consular law, and legal argumentation supports the project’s territorial, regulatory and governance dimensions.

Independent Quality Assurance
External Monitoring and Evaluation
ROAD2EU’s external experts support monitoring and evaluation throughout the project’s implementation. They review progress against the approved objectives and milestones, examine the quality and coherence of educational, research and dissemination outputs, identify potential risks and provide evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
The external experts are not involved in day-to-day project management. Their independent professional perspective helps the ROAD2EU team maintain academic quality, transparency and alignment with the project’s objectives.

Olena Semenog is a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor at the Department of Pedagogy, as well as Head of the Centre for Scientific and Educational Partnership and Network Interaction. Her research focuses on higher education, teacher and doctoral training, academic culture, scientific communication, digital pedagogy, the responsible use of artificial intelligence and international academic partnership.

Tetiana Sharova is a Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Educational and Scientific Centre and Professor at the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her academic and professional interests include twentieth-century Ukrainian literature, philology, higher education, digital learning and the coordination of international educational initiatives.
