About ROAD2EU

ROAD2EU — Roadmap for Integrating EU Policies and Strategies on Economic, Social, and Territorial Synergy in Polish Higher Education through Digital European Studies — is an Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module coordinated by Dr. Habil. Yan Kapranov, VIZJA University Prof., at VIZJA University (Warsaw, Poland). The project is implemented under Grant Agreement No. 101235886Roadmap for Integrating EU Policies and Strategies on Economic, Social, and Territorial Synergy in Polish Higher Education through Digital European Studies(ROAD2EU), within ERASMUS-JMO-2025-HEI-TCH-RSCH, for the period 2025–2028.

ROAD2EU aims to strengthen the EU dimension in Polish higher education by translating key European policies and strategies into accessible teaching, research, and public dialogue within the framework of Digital European Studies. The project focuses on the economic, social, and territorial dimensions of European integration and explores how these priorities can be meaningfully embedded in higher education in Poland.

The project responds to several clearly identified gaps. Access to reliable and up-to-date EU-related resources is often fragmented. Interdisciplinary teaching that connects economic, social, and territorial perspectives remains limited. Research findings do not always reach policymakers in a practical and usable form. ROAD2EU addresses these challenges by bringing together teaching, research, digital resources, and stakeholder engagement within one integrated project framework.

At the centre of the project is EUSynergia, a digital platform designed as an open hub for EU policy documents, best practices, teaching materials, research outputs, and interactive learning resources. All core project content will be integrated into the official EUSynergia website, which will serve as the main digital environment for access to project results, educational materials, and public engagement activities.

The project will deliver nine interdisciplinary thematic units through winter and summer schools. These thematic units will address such areas as EU economic integration, social inclusion, lifelong learning, health and well-being, regional development, urban-rural synergies, and cross-border cooperation. The educational approach combines lectures, workshops, case studies, and digital tools to help participants understand how EU priorities can be applied in real educational, institutional, and policy contexts.

ROAD2EU is designed for students, academic staff, researchers, policymakers, public institutions, and media representatives in Poland. By connecting these groups, the project seeks to strengthen EU-related competences, promote evidence-based dialogue, and support a more coherent understanding of economic, social, and territorial development in the European Union.

The project will generate lasting results, including the EUSynergia platform, nine thematic teaching units, research publications, conferences, roundtables, and policy-oriented guidelines for Polish ministries. In the long term, ROAD2EU aims to contribute to a more internationalised, inclusive, and digitally informed higher education environment in Poland, aligned with key EU priorities and values.
